MEDICAL WATCH:
RHP Daisuke Matsuzaka (right shoulder fatigue) left the May 27 game. It was unclear if he'd miss any additional action. He's scheduled for an MRI on May 30. 1B Kevin Youkilis (sore right hand) sat out May 26-27, and he pinch-ran May 28. He is day-to-day.
RHP Clay Buchholz (torn right middle fingernail) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 13. He made a rehab start for Class AAA Pawtucket on May 25.
RHP Curt Schilling (right shoulder) began experiencing discomfort during the offseason, and he opened the season on the 60-day disabled list as he undergoes a muscle-strengthening program. He began throwing in early May but said he had a long way to go before he'd be ready to return to action.
